How to make a diamond kebab?

There are many types of kebabs, but one of the most popular is the Turkish-style shish kebab, made with marinated cubes of meat grilled on skewers. Here’s a recipe for making Turkish-style shish kebab:


  • 1 pound of beef or lamb, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Wooden or metal skewers


  1. Mix the olive oil, yogurt, tomato paste, garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice in a large bowl to make the marinade.
